The variety «Picnic Hill» is mentioned in scientific publications in the context of assessing its resistance to fungal diseases. During the conducted trials, the plant demonstrated relative resistance to root rot infection, in particular to the pathogens Fusarium oxysporum and Phytophthora nicotianae, showing a lower level of infection compared to a number of other cultivars.
