Variety description

The variety is a deciduous shrub 1 to 3 meters in height. The leaves are large, leathery, deeply lobed, dark green in summer, and turn bronze, crimson, purple, or violet shades in autumn. The inflorescences are paniculate, large, up to 30–35 cm long, consisting of double, layered snow-white flowers that turn pink toward the end of flowering.

Flowering is prolonged, usually from June to August or September. The variety belongs to USDA hardiness zones 5–9 and flowers on previous year's shoots; therefore, it requires covering in harsh climatic conditions. Due to the heavy inflorescences, the shoots may bend toward the ground. The plant is used in landscape design as a specimen plant or in group plantings; the inflorescences are suitable for cutting.
