Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant reaches a height of 1.2 to 2 meters. In summer, leaves are silvery-green, turning crimson, burgundy and purple tones in autumn. Inflorescences are paniculate, white upon blooming, later acquiring a pinkish or greenish hue. On older shoots, the bark peels, maintaining ornamental value in winter.

Flowering occurs on the previous year's shoots in June-July and lasts until autumn. The variety is relatively winter-hardy (USDA zone 5a, down to -26…-28°C), however, in severe winters, freezing of flower buds is possible, therefore covering is recommended in cold climates. It is noted in literature that different clones may be hidden under this name.
