The plant belongs to the species Hydrangea macrophylla, with a lacecap inflorescence type, featuring fertile flowers in the center and sterile flowers on the periphery. The compact bush reaches a height of about 30–40 cm.
The petals of the sterile flowers have a pink or blue base color depending on soil acidity and a narrow white rim. The petal edges are finely serrated.
