The variety V16K450, also known by the trade name Erato Vineland Intense Orange, is intended for culinary use. The plant has a compact growth habit, which facilitates crop maintenance and mechanized inter-row cultivation.
The root tubers have orange flesh and orange-red skin. The variety is distinguished by yield, uniform development of root tubers, and comparative resistance to cracking. The variety was bred within the framework of a program for adapting sweet potatoes to regions with a short growing season.
