The sweet potato variety «Vilma» was developed with the participation of the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana. It is included in the national variety register of Slovenia under registration number IPB005.

At present, the variety is mentioned primarily in the context of breeding and genetic research aimed at comparison with other Slovenian varieties. Detailed morphological characteristics and descriptions of product quality are absent in open sources.
