The Spreewalder Walnuss tree forms a rounded, relatively loose crown, reaching a height of 8–10 meters. The variety is protandrous and self-fertile, which allows for solitary cultivation. Flowering and leaf emergence begin at an early to medium-early pace, with harvesting taking place in September.

The nuts have an oval shape, smooth shell with a diameter of 36–45 mm, and a kernel yield of approximately 44%. The tree possesses good winter hardiness, yet it is sensitive to late spring frosts due to its early vegetation period. The variety is susceptible to Marssonina blight, and due to the high oil content, the fruits are not intended for long-term storage.
