Juniperus squamata 'Meyeri' is an evergreen coniferous shrub. The plant typically reaches a height of 3–5 meters, in rare cases up to 6 meters, with a width of 2–3 meters. The variety is characterized by slow growth in the first years of life.

The plant possesses needle-like foliage of a characteristic silvery-blue shade. The variety is a historic one and is widely used in landscape design as an ornamental crop.
