Grünroter Karlov belongs to the type of "tied" lettuces with upright leaves, which form dense heads with a tender inner part. The plant's leaves have a characteristic green color with reddish edges.
The variety is resistant to bolting. The period from transplanting to harvest is approximately 40 days. The plant is adapted for cultivation using transplants, requires sunny areas and moist loose soil with a spacing of 30 cm between plants.
Historically, the variety was cultivated in Croatia, including as a winter lettuce. Intended for fresh consumption.
