Variety description

The plant is an interspecific hybrid reaching 3.6–4.8 meters in height. It has a strict, upright, vase-shaped form. A key feature is the dark purple foliage that maintains its color throughout the summer, and smooth ornamental bark that peels with age.
Coral-pink flowers are gathered in large inflorescences and appear from late spring until autumn. The variety is characterized by resistance to powdery mildew, Cercospora leaf spot, as well as heat and drought tolerance. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 7–9, with possible endurance in zone 6.
The plant is used as an accent in landscape design, for creating hedges or screens, as well as for container cultivation.
