Variety description

The plant is a compact, dense bush, the main distinguishing feature of which is variegation: leaves are colored glaucous-green and have a characteristic creamy-white margin along the edges. Flowers of a dusty-blue or blue-violet shade are gathered into spike-like inflorescences, which are located on long peduncles above the main mass of foliage.

Flowering of the variety occurs in the period from June to August or early autumn. The plant is used in landscape design for creating borders, rock gardens, and container gardening. The variety prefers sunny locations and well-drained soils, showing drought tolerance after rooting.

During cultivation, a loss of decorative qualities is possible in the form of reversion, in which shoots with completely green leaves appear on the plant. Due to this biological feature and sensitivity to growing conditions, commercial cultivation of this variety has been limited in some nurseries.
