Variety description

The mature plant reaches a height of 40 to 100 cm. The foliage is narrow, lanceolate, and possesses a strong fragrance. Flowering begins earlier than that of English lavender and lasts from May to July-August, with a possible second wave in the autumn.

The variety is considered conditionally winter hardy and is adapted to USDA zones 7–9. It requires well-drained soils and is sensitive to waterlogging, which can lead to root rot. The plant is susceptible to grey mold and infection by the Honey fungus.

It is used in landscape design for creating borders, mass plantings, and container cultivation. Due to its fragrance, it attracts bees and other pollinating insects.
