Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an evergreen shrub with a dense, upright crown, reaching a height of 1.5–2 meters and a width of about 1 meter. The plant has dark glossy foliage and blooms abundantly in the spring with large pinkish-mauve flowers with a greenish center.

The plant is used in ornamental gardening as a specimen plant, in mixed plantings, hedges, and container culture, and its cut flowers are suitable for floristry. The variety is hardy, tolerates light frosts, prefers full sun or partial shade, and well-drained soils. Pruning after flowering is recommended to maintain a compact shape and stimulate blooming.

The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing Leptospermum rotundifolium and Leptospermum spectabile. It also served as a parent form for breeding other cultivars, including Love Affair, Outrageous, and Merinda.
