The variety is an authentic landrace characteristic of the Destrnik region. Its name translates from Slovenian as "single-stemmed." The primary goal of cultivating this variety is to maintain the traditions of flax growing and processing, as well as the production of yarn and fabrics using ancient techniques.

The variety is classified as a genetic resource protected to prevent its extinction. Currently, cultivation of the plant is primarily educational and cultural-historical in nature. Specific agronomic indicators, such as maturity dates or disease resistance, are not recorded in open publications.
