The variety is a short-stemmed plant with large blue flowers. It belongs to yellow-seeded varieties; the thousand kernel weight varies in the range of 4.40 to 8.51 g.

The variety has a medium flowering period and demonstrates a low rate of infection accumulation. The seed oil contains a high level of cyclolinopeptides, which may impart bitterness to it.

The primary purpose is as an oil crop; however, the variety is actively used in European breeding programs and scientific experiments as a model specimen for studying the properties of flax.
