The variety is the result of hybridization of foreign varieties Argos and Bertelin. During the selection process, multiple selections were carried out aimed at increasing seed yield while maintaining a high fiber content.
Fiber flax is grown for both fiber and seed production. The variety is characterized by stable productivity indicators and the maintenance of a high yield of long scutched fiber under various growing conditions. Harvesting must be carried out in optimal stages of maturity, as deviation from them leads to a decrease in product yield.
In scientific literature, the variety is mentioned in the context of experiments on in vitro cultivation, in particular when studying the ability for callus formation and organogenesis.
