The modern Polish variety Hera is a fiber flax with high yield. In studies, it showed a total biomass yield of 6.27 t/ha and a straw yield of 5.16 t/ha, with a fiber content in raw straw of about 16.42%. The average total stem length of the variety reaches 78.5 cm, technical length is 66.5 cm, and stem diameter is 1.43 mm.

The historical variety Hera of Belgian breeding was registered in 1979. In modern agronomic publications, this variety is classified as historical or withdrawn from wide use, as it has been replaced by new varieties in many breeding programs.
