The Nordica variety is an oilseed flax with brown seed coloration. The plant possesses genetically determined resistance to rust, specifically exhibiting immunity to race 371 of the pathogen.
The variety has moderate resistance to Fusarium wilt infection. In agronomic registries, the name Nordica may also refer to other agricultural crops, including perennial grasses such as alfalfa.
