The variety has the pedigree formula ((R491xENGELUM 51-7)xDIANA)xWIERA. It is classified as flax grown primarily for fiber and appears in comparative studies of flax characteristics, including mucilage properties.

In Canadian experimental conditions in the early 1980s, the variety showed susceptibility to infection by the fungus Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. Specific morphological indicators of the plant, such as height or boll parameters, are not available in open sources.
