The variety belongs to the species Lolium multiflorum Lam. The tetraploid nature of the variety provides increased green mass productivity, improved leafiness, and larger seeds compared to diploid forms of ryegrass.

The economic purpose of the variety includes its use as a forage crop for obtaining hay, haylage, and green fodder. Due to its rapid growth, the variety can also be used for creating temporary grass covers or for inclusion in grass mixtures.
