The Grota variety is intended for forage biomass production and has the ability to recover rapidly after mowing due to a well-developed root system. The plant is characterized by high nutritional value of the green mass, including protein and sugar content.

Under the climatic conditions of Poland, the variety is cultivated as a biennial crop. The ryegrass possesses the morphology of a loose-bunch grass typical for the species and demonstrates a high rate of development during the growing season.
