The variety is a tetraploid form of Italian ryegrass. Tetraploid varieties of this species differ from diploid ones in a more succulent tissue structure, high nutritional value, and improved palatability of the forage.

Italian ryegrass is a loose-bunch grass with a powerful fibrous root system. The plant is characterized by rapid growth in the spring period and in the first year of life, while the variety responds well to high humidity and soil fertility.

The variety is intended for forage production purposes and is used to obtain several cuts per season in the form of green mass, silage, or hay.
