The variety is a tetraploid form obtained as a result of colchicine treatment of diploid breeding material. The plant belongs to the late-maturing group and demonstrates stable productivity.

The variety possesses proven resistance to diseases, including bacterial wilt and crown rust, which has been confirmed by results of artificial inoculation tests. The crop is used primarily as a forage plant.
