The variety is tetraploid (4n) and possesses abundant foliage. The plant is characterized by a high rate of development, allowing the first cut 6–8 weeks after sowing. The variety has low susceptibility to lodging and moderate resistance to rust.
The purpose of the variety includes forage production through grazing or harvesting for silage and hay, as well as use as an intermediate or cover crop for rapid establishment of a grass stand. It can be grown alone or in mixtures with other grasses, such as Persian clover.
When cultivating, it is recommended to observe a seeding rate of 40–45 kg/ha with a seed sowing depth of 1–2 cm. The sowing method is similar to that of cereal crops.
