The Devis variety is a tetraploid (4N) representative of Westerwold ryegrass. The plants have a semi-erect habit, form wide, long leaves, and possess high tillering capacity and the ability for rapid regrowth after mowing.

The variety is characterized by an intermediate or long vegetation cycle and high resistance to leaf and stem diseases. The produce is distinguished by increased energy and protein value, high digestibility, and good palatability.

The ryegrass is recommended for dairy farming and intensive use as a pasture crop, as well as for harvesting hay and silage in the autumn-winter period.
