Variety description

The variety is tetraploid (4n) and is characterized by slow growth in the spring period, which allows it to be used as an undersown crop without competing with the main crop, such as maize. Despite the slow start, the variety develops actively thereafter, showing good yield potential in the autumn period and in the following season.

The variety's production has consistently high yields of green mass and dry matter, and is also characterized by an increased content of water-soluble sugars, which improves ensiling processes. The plant possesses adaptability to various weather conditions, including dry and wet periods.

Porubka is intended for intensive forage production, including intensive grazing and silage harvesting. The variety can be sown both in monoculture and as part of multi-component forage mixtures.
