The variety belongs to the species Lolium multiflorum, variety Lolium multiflorum ssp. westerwoldicum, and is tetraploid. In terms of maturity, it is classified as medium-late. Externally, the variety is characterized by the presence of a very wide leaf.

The produce of the variety has high nutritional value: a high protein content, a balanced fiber composition, low acid detergent fiber and neutral detergent fiber indicators, as well as high dry matter digestibility are noted.

The variety is intended for use in forage production, in particular for silage harvesting, green fodder production, and hay. It demonstrates high dry matter productivity and good general resistance.
