Barkatja is a tetraploid variety with mid-early maturity. The plant leaves are dark green, and the degree of fineness of the herbage is medium. The flag leaf is characterized by a length ranging from short to medium and a width ranging from narrow to medium.

This variety is intended for inclusion in grass seed mixtures designed for creating high-traffic sports grounds, as well as for landscaping park areas and public spaces.
