The Barribo variety belongs to the pasture type group and is intended for forage use. It is widely used in mixtures for establishing permanent pastures and forage lands, characterized by good grazing tolerance and resistance to frequent mowing.

The plant is a tetraploid variety. Distinctive features of this group of varieties are a higher green mass yield potential with potentially lower dry matter content. Like other representatives of the species, the variety possesses rapid growth and good regeneration capacity after use.
