The Glen variety belongs to diploid perennial ryegrass cultivars. It is characterized by a high degree of leafiness and tillering, due to which it forms a dense sod resistant to trampling by livestock.
The plant belongs to the medium maturity group and is adapted to intensive grazing conditions. For many years, the variety has been used as a quality standard for swards with high resistance to damage by animal hooves.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
