The variety Pomposo belongs to tetraploid forms of perennial ryegrass. In field trials, the variety demonstrates high relative productivity, however, under conditions of northern regions, it is characterized by insufficient winter hardiness, leading to the death of crops during the winter period.

The plant is intended for use in grass mixtures for agricultural purposes, in particular for the formation of hayfields and pastures.
