The variety is tetraploid (4n) and belongs to the group of late-maturing plants. It demonstrates high productivity both under silage harvesting regimes and grazing use, characterized by a rapid growth rate in the early spring period.

The plants possess good digestibility indicators and a high sugar content, which ensures their palatability for livestock. The variety features high resistance to rust, in particular to crown rust, as well as good winter hardiness and the ability to regrow quickly.

Polim is intended for the formation of highly productive pastures and hayfields. The variety is adapted to various soil types, with the exception of extremely dry areas, and is often used in intensive livestock farming operations.
