The variety is tetraploid and belongs to medium-early or medium maturity group hybrids. It is characterized by larger cells, an increased sugar content in dry matter, and good palatability for livestock.

The variety was used in grass mixtures with perennial ryegrass and white clover for livestock grazing. While listed in registries, it underwent testing for resistance to powdery mildew, rhynchosporium, and viral infections.
