The variety was obtained through the hybridization of Italian ryegrass and perennial ryegrass. It combines high yield potential with good regrowth and leafiness. The variety is characterized as intermediate in heading date, forms a dense stand, and covers the soil well.
The plant possesses high resistance to rust and powdery mildew, as well as winter hardiness and the ability to tolerate waterlogged soils. As a tetraploid, the variety is distinguished by high forage quality, speed of regrowth after use, and responsiveness to nitrogen fertilizer application.
