The variety is tetraploid (4n) and is considered the earliest among hybrid ryegrass varieties. In terms of heading dates, it lags behind early perennial ryegrass varieties by only 3–4 days. In its morphological characteristics, the variety is closest to perennial ryegrass.
The plant is intended for forage production and is distinguished by good digestibility. The variety possesses high resistance to foliar diseases and bacterial wilt. Breeding involved crossing followed by colchicine treatment to obtain tetraploid forms.
