Variety description

The plant reaches a height of about 1.5–2 meters. The leaves are oval, leathery, and maintain an almost black color throughout the year. The flowers have a characteristic strap-like petal shape and bloom from late winter to spring, typically in the period from February to April.
The variety is slow-growing and relatively resistant to common diseases. Frost resistance is estimated as low, in the range from -5°C to -20°C, depending on conditions, which requires protection in regions with severe winters.
In landscape design, the shrub is used for forming hedges and borders, solitary plantings, or growing in containers. The plant tolerates formative pruning well.
