The variety was bred using wild forms of Lotus corniculatus collected in the lowland regions of Hungary. The breeding process employed selection methods for agronomically useful traits, as well as experimental mutagenesis using colchicine and X-ray irradiation.

The plant is intended for use in pasture and hay meadow mixtures, as well as for reclamation purposes. The variety is characterized by excellent forage productivity and high persistence in swards.
