The tree is moderately vigorous, forms an upright, slightly spreading crown, and bears fruit primarily on spurs. The fruits are medium-sized, elongated-conical in shape, often asymmetrical and ribbed. The golden-yellow skin is almost entirely covered with a deep red blush with dark stripes and small dots.
The flesh is tender, crisp, and juicy, distinguished by a specific aroma with notes of vanilla or pear-flavored candies. The harvest ripens in late September to early October and is suitable for storage until December. The variety is partially self-fertile, is a triploid, and does not produce viable pollen, therefore requiring the presence of pollinators.
The variety shows good resistance to scab and powdery mildew, but is susceptible to fire blight and canker. Flowers are characterized by resistance to late spring frosts. Due to a tendency for overcropping and biennial bearing, it is recommended to thin the ovaries to maintain fruit size.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
