Fruits are large, round-flat in shape, with greenish-yellow skin and a red blush. The firm, creamy-white flesh has a spicy-sweet or wine-tart taste. When heat-treated, the apples retain their shape well, which determines their primary culinary use.

The tree is noted for its upright growth habit and high adaptability to cold and damp climates. The variety shows good resistance to canker and scab. Consumer maturity is reached in December; fruits can maintain quality until July with proper storage.
