Fruits of the Basnæs variety reach harvest maturity in the second half of August, and consumption maturity in September-October. Apple size varies from medium to large, the shape is flat-round or conical, sometimes asymmetrical. The main skin color is greenish-yellow, the overcolor in the form of a red-brown blush covers about 25% of the surface.

The fruit flesh is characterized as medium-juicy, moderately sweet with a sour tang and a faint aroma. The apples are distinguished by a long shelf life and resistance to mechanical damage. The tree has medium yield, the variety is classified as culinary, intended for cooking.
