The Bartolenka variety (also known as Batul, Batulenka, Batulka, Pomme de Transsylvanie) is a traditional local genotype. It is included in the national register of varieties of Slovenia as an object for the conservation of plant genetic resources.

Detailed morphological and agrotechnical characteristics, including data on height, ripening time, or disease resistance, are not recorded in the sources. The variety is considered promising for study, including as a possible triploid form, and is recommended for cultivation in traditional-type orchards.
