Variety description

The small or medium-sized fruits have an oblate shape and greenish-yellow skin with a red blush and stripes. The flesh is pale yellow, fine-grained, firm, and dry. The taste is expressive, with characteristic bitterness and astringency due to a high level of phenolic compounds, which makes the variety inedible when fresh.

The tree is characterized by weak to moderate vigor, forms a flattened crown, and is prone to biennial bearing. The variety is late, with fruits harvested in mid-October. The flowering period is long, making the apple tree a good pollinator for other varieties. The tree tolerates drought and wind poorly and is susceptible to scab, powdery mildew, and fire blight, but is resistant to apple canker.
