The variety belongs to the category of heirloom or collector varieties. The tree is characterized by average yield, and fruits ripen in the first half of September, which allows it to be classified as an early or mid-early variety.

The plant has high resistance to major fungal diseases, including scab, powdery mildew and apple canker, and is not susceptible to sooty blotch and pests. At present, the variety is not used in commercial horticulture and is found mainly in collections.
