The tree is characterized by strong vigor and forms a wide, often pyramidal canopy. The variety is triploid, enters into bearing late, and shows a tendency toward biennial bearing. The fruits hold very firmly to the branches, showing resistance to wind.

The fruits have a weight of about 110 g, a shape from round-conical to barrel-shaped, and the skin is greenish-yellow with a reddish blush. The flesh is firm and coarse-grained. The taste is initially acidic and tart, becoming sweet-acidic during storage.

The variety possesses moderate resistance to scab, high resistance to powdery mildew and fire blight, though it may be affected by canker on cold, waterlogged soils. The fruits are used primarily for culinary purposes, juice production, and cider, and maintain quality until May–June.
