The tree is vigorous, reaching a height of 4–6 meters, and forms a wide and harmonious crown. The variety is hardy and grows well on clay and sandy soils; however, the fruits are prone to dropping in strong winds, so planting in protected locations is recommended.
The fruits are small, round or slightly flattened in shape with smooth skin. The harvest is gathered throughout September, with early harvest possible at the end of August. Due to its short shelf life, the variety is poorly suited for commercial horticulture.
The fruits are consumed fresh and are also used for making juices, jams, and ciders. The variety is recognized as rare and is part of the 'Ark of Taste' genetic diversity conservation program.
1 jurisdiction
