The tree is noted for its strong health and productivity. The flowers are large with overlapping petals and dark pink buds. Harvest maturity for the fruits, which have a green-yellow skin with an intense red blush and visible lenticels, occurs in the first half of September.

The fruit flesh is characterized by high juiciness and a sweet-vinous taste with spicy notes. The variety shows high resistance to powdery mildew, scab, and other common apple diseases, although the fruits have a limited shelf life and are sensitive to mechanical damage.
