Variety description

The variety is a spontaneous mutation of the Royal Gala variety and is known under the trade name Cherry Gala. The fruits are large, with white flesh, and have an intense cherry-red color with stripes, although the yellow ground color may be more visible compared to other clones of the Gala group.

The variety belongs to the early group; fruits ripen approximately 5 days earlier than those of the original Royal Gala variety. The plant is considered a breeding achievement aimed at improving the commercial appearance and intensity of fruit coloration.
