The tree is noted for medium vigor, an open crown shape, and a semi-spur fruiting habit. The variety is characterized by biennial bearing, and yields often require thinning.

Fruits ripen in the second half of September and have a truncate-conical, often asymmetric shape. The flesh is creamy-white, moderately sweet, with low acidity, medium to low juiciness, fine-grained texture, and a faint aroma.

Researchers note that various clones or types of apple trees with certain morphological and agronomic differences may be identified under the name Caroli di Finale.
