The variety represents a group of traditional forms originating from the Susa Valley. The plant is characterized by medium-high vigor. Precise morphological descriptions specifically of the Verd variety in isolation from the general Carpendù group have not been recorded.

The fruits are of medium size, their shape can vary from truncated-conical to oblate. Varieties of this group have a medium-late ripening period and are used in culinary for preparing desserts and baked goods.

The variety is preserved within the framework of regional biodiversity restoration programs. Systematized data on disease resistance are absent, and plants undergo regular sanitary control.
