The variety is a representative of the bittersweet cider apple group. The fruits are small or medium, weighing from 30 to 78 grams, have an oblate-round shape and a greenish-yellow skin with red stripes. Harvesting is carried out in the second half of October.
The tree is characterized by low or medium vigor and pronounced biennial bearing. The variety is susceptible to fire blight. Young plants may be subject to internal fruit rot and require crown training to maintain a central leader. It is sometimes used as an interstock component in grafting.
